We're looking for a new Brown Owl!

The search for a new Brown Owl, or more Snowy Owls, to share the responsibility of the pack, is currently on.
With two Snowy Owls already confirmed, one more would ensure that this large and popular pack, with a waiting list of girls, will continue into its 46th year!
If you are interested in either role, or would like to know more about what is involved, please contact Lou Smith as soon as possible on 07740 476306. Thank you!

Remembrance Sunday

We joined the Cubs and Scouts in renewing the tradition of attending our local church on this important day.
I am proud to report that a number of people said how nice it was to see the Brownies there and how well behaved they all were.
Thanks from the Rotary Club
Jim Murdoch, President of The Rotary Club of St Ives, has written us a lovely letter thanking the 2nd Hemingford Brownies for a 'magnificent effort' in filling 20 shoe boxes with Christmas presents for children in a Moldovan orphanage. Well done, girls.
We did it for Macmillan!
Well done to all the Brownies and thank you to everyone for coming to our Coffee Morning on 28 September. I am delighted to confirm that we raised £176.14 and that a number of Brownies achieved their hostess and/or cooks' badges in the process.

Important change of venue details
Well we've finished brownies for another year and I'm sure you're all looking forward to the Summer holidays. We are currently planning next year's activities with the brownies so if anyone has any ideas they would like to share please e-mail me on lou.sms@virginmedia.com.
We will be meeting again on Friday 13th September at 4.30 but please note that we will now be meeting at our new venue at Hemingford Pavilion. This new venue gives us access to a kitchen which will mean lots more fun for the girls with cake decorating, baking etc.
Could I just take this opportunity to remind parents not to drop off the girls at the meeting until either myself or Snowy Owl (Karen Timmins) is on site. The girls remain parent/guardian responsibility until then.
